Assalamualaikum hi everyone, welcome back with annil <3 today I will show you how to write descriptive text, okay, let's continue, okay?
After making a descriptive story on this blog,i will write a descriptive text with the present
tense.
Characteristics of Descriptive Text
The characteristics of descriptive text sentences in English, namely:
•Using attribute verbs in English such as be : is, am, are
•Using the simple present tense formula
Focus on one object or one topic described. So, paragraphs cannot consist of 2 or three topics at once, because it will make the reader confused.
Descriptive Text Structure
There are only 2 descriptive text structures, namely:
Identification, or introduction of topics
Here we only need to think about what we are going to tell in writing.
Description, is a description of the topic to be written. Descriptions can be written by answering a few simple questions, for example:
A. If you want to describe a person, then we can start by answering the questions, for example: what is his name, how old is he, what is his name? How old is he? how, how, or works as a feature of where, how it should be, how it is physically, and so on.
B. If you want to describe a place, the description can be done by answering the questions: where is the place, what is its name, what is the shape of the building, and what are the rooms in the building.
C. If you want to describe an object, then we can start by answering the questions: what, what it is made of, what it is used for, how to use it, and what are its specifications.
D. if you want to describe an animal, then we can describe it by understanding what the animal's name is, how it sounds, what kind it is, and what its physical characteristics are.

identification (identifikasi): an overview of a topic.
description (deskripsi): explanation contains special characteristics possessed by the object, place, or person described.
Language Features Descriptive Text
Specific participant: has a specific object, is not general and unique (there is only one). For example: Uncle Jack, Borobudur Temple
Use adjective (kata sifat) to clarify nouns. For example: a handsome man, a beautiful woman.
Use simple present tense: The sentence pattern used is the simple present because it tells the facts of the object being described
Action verbs: there is a verb that shows an activity (the activity can be seen). For example: run, walk, cut, etc.
The purpose of descriptive
text is to provide a description of the object discussed in the text. The depiction points include the physical description and the inherent properties of the object, for example size (large or small) and color. Therefore, the form of descriptive text includes information articles and someone's profile.
